I am new to cms, I am trying to install drupal 6.3(running it on localhost) but after I clicked "Install Drupal in English" I encountered this error message below

Fatal error: Cannot unset string offsets in C:\My Documents\web_files\drupal-6.3\includes\form.inc on line 80.

I am using appserv 2.6, i am using PhP 6, can you use drupal in localhost?

drupal works perfectly well in a localhost

Your problem may be PHP6 as drupal may not be extensively (if at all) tested against it. PHP6 hasn't been released as stable, has it ?

you may have to use PHP5

if you are on widnows..got for WAMP.
its best for windows afaik

very easy to setup.
