Here is a quick and dirty patch for an intranet I was working on.

They wanted a checkbox to allow a node not to be lockable.

This probably needs a bit of work but it served its purpose and is a useful feature.

This version of Checkout (Content locking) is not supported anymore. The issue is closed for this reason.
Please upgrade to a supported version and feel free to reopen the issue on the new version if applicable.
