what module?

dottedquad - July 31, 2008 - 04:21

Hello all,
I'm in need of modules to do the following: map other drupal websites and head to the website by a click of a link in the main drupal website, search for specific drupal sites from a main drupal site, scheduling tasks(whether it be website maintenance via cronjobs and/or events, invoices, job tracking, and job scheduleing. The list isn't in chronological order it's just off the top of my head. I've done exstensive searching through out drupal.org but could pinpoint any modules. Any help is greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance :-)

Do the websites you want to

Do the websites you want to map already exist? I'm thinking the best way would be to make multiple sites in one drupal somehow. It's probably possible to make them completely separate, but then you would have to install your module on all the websites, and have the modules speak to each other, which sounds harder to do.

Thanks for the reply :-)

Well, the sites do not exists yet. Only one(the main) drupal site will have all the bells and whistles. The rest of them will have different modules from the main.

Check into the content

Check into the content construction kit modules (CCK) for most of of what you need custom-node wise.

I believe there is an invoice module in the ecommerce package.

You might also look into the actions, workflow, and trigger modules.

Thanks for the reply. I will check out these options out tomorrow, once I can gather my thoughts and come to a more rational thought process.

-Thanks!
