Hi everyone,

We're finding something odd is going on with some of our blocks which are created by custom modules.

For a reason we've not been able to pin down yet, the Drupal-side settings (such as which URLs they're assigned to appear on, what their weight and location in the template is) are become un-set, disabling the block.

This is becoming not only a huge annoyance but also a liability for launching.

Does anyone have an idea why this might be occurring?

This project is for an NGO, so naturally we've got CiviCRM and loads of other modules installed at the moment.

Cheers,
-Fin

which version of Drupal 5.x ?

I ask because in 5.7 - 5.8 there was something about a bug with blocks, though I don't recall offhand if it was specifically what you are encountering.

We're using v. 5.8-dev at the moment...

I'd update to the latest version and see if problem is still apparent. I'm trying to find the issue that was posted a few weeks ago about blocks.

That's a good idea anyway. I can't see anything in the Drupal 5.8, 5.9 changelogs... but we'll give the upgrade a go.

Well just to let people know, we've upgraded to 5.9 and haven't experienced the problem since then.

Thanks for the help!
