This node reference CCK field should show only nodes created by the currently logged in user during creation. This part is easy.
However, in the event that the node is edited, I would like this field to remain restricted to nodes written by the original author.

I'm looking for help with the phpcode for a default argument that, upon editing a form will populate the argument with the original author's userid. I know how to get the author user id when I'm viewing a node, but not during the edit.
