Uninstalled UIE and default forum is broken?

After trying to use UIE for several months, I found the lack of integration with Drupal frustrating and as such, uninstalled it. I've reactivated the default Drupal forum on http://www.islandoftoys.com only to find that the post counts and new post indicators do not work when looking at the forum listing.
The test posts I made show in the "Updates!" section on my site, but if you click on the "Forum!" link at the top of the page you won't see any posts listed under the "Rules and Information" sub-forum. What the heck is going on with this?
I searched for an answer to see if this was a common problem, but I've not found any information related to this.

The lack of Drupal integration is a serious bone of contention, and one that I hope to resolve. UIEforum has been out of drupal's nodes for far, far too long, and I know it.
As for your forum posts, the posts that you created were not created in the nodes table - they absolutely will not work with the core forum module. This was explained in the module's readme before you installed, and on the module's description page.
If you want to write an import script from UIEForum to core forum, then please feel free, but I simply do not have the time at the moment to develop a node based import script.

You may have misunderstood my post. I removed UIE and *then* posted a new post to the default forum, but after removing UIE the default forum no longer works properly. I don't expect it to import all posts to UIE or UIE posts to the default forum. :)

Do you happen to know why the default forum is not working properly now? I've upgraded to Drupal 5.9 now and it still has the same problem. Not UIE...the default forum. After using UIE the default forum posts do not show in the post count. They show in "Updates", but not in the actual forum.
