At the moment, I need to know my mysql details to add a new multisite page. This isn't ideal if I want to pass on the permission to set up a multisite to someone else. Would it be possible to have this stored somewhere in the control panels, and hide all this from the user?
thanks!

schuyler1d commentedunless I misunderstand you, the access permission 'advanced database setup' under multisite_manager is what you want. You will still see the extra fields if you are logged in as the administrator. Make sure you set the defaults.
Doing what you describe was the whole point of the module :-)

kimadactyl commentedHmm I don't see this option. At this URL [1] I can change "Table prefix default", Link default " and "Database name default" but not the user name and password. I'm logged in at the first user, with all privileges applied. The only other tab in MsM is "settings.php help". I can't see anywhere to add the database owner and password.
Thanks for the incredibly quick reply :D

kimadactyl commentedAnd sorry, I meant to put this under "support request" :)

schuyler1d commentedSorry, somehow I didn't get notified that you updated this ticket. Permissions are set here:

kimadactyl commentedHmm I definitely have all permissions and everything enabled. As mentioned in post 3 I can't see the option at "admin/settings/multisite_manager", I can only edit the db access details in the "create new drupal site" dialogue.
Thanks!
