Description

I am not sure if this is a bug or I made something wrong.

I upgraded my Drupal from 5.7 to the current (5.9) and upgraded some modules that UpdateStatus suggested. All was ok, but when I check the available updates it tells me that I am using Drupal 5.8 (earlier version) and that I should upgrade to 5.9.

I checked the filename that I installed and it is drupal-5.9.tar.gz. I also checked the CHANGELOG.txt file and it says that I have the version 5.9.

How can I really check the installed Drupal version ?

It is a bug on the Drupal package, the UpdateStatus module or I broke something during the upgrade ?

Thank you for your help,

jimezam.

Please ensure that you replaced ALL core modules and files, and that there are no duplicate copies of any modules.

If replacing the entire core installation (as directed in the update instructions), this still occurs, please provide a list of all installed contrib modules and their versions.

Thank you for answering.

Well, I re-made the upgrade and it now appears 5.9 version without problems, but I am not sure where the problem was. I think as you said, that maybe some some older versiones were not replaced correctly.

I have two more similar sites to upgrade, I will test it with them.

Hi, need to open this. Have the same issue.

I was changing hosting company, so I dumped DB, downloaded site, uploaded site into new hosting and imported DB, after that, update status is badly reporting, I have to update Drupal core, even, if I have newest version and changed nothing during moving site to another host. How could it has happened?

Running update.php didn't help. I even tried whole site upgrade process again, just to be sure something wasn't lost during moving site to another host, but it didn't help either.

Found solution. It was my mistake - I had copy of user module in sites/all/modules (I made some changes in code) and after updating site to 5.12, I forgot update this copy of user module too, after replacing with actual copy, update status reports correctly.

BUT - why it gaves me no errors on previous hosting? I made exact copy of whole site and DB without changing anything, moved to new host and errors started to be reported. Don't understand this, but one thing is for sure - it wasn't bug in update status module :)
