How to disable certain user role to edit their own profile?

Hi,

I am recently creating a website for a school using drupal 5. They requires the website to show the student's profile such as examination result, attendance and behavior when a student login.

I had manage to create extra profile fields for the student.

However, the students should not be able to edit their own profile as it relates to their academic result.

I have uncheck the box of "access user profiles ", "administer access control", "administer users", and "change own username" in user module. However, students can still access their profile and edit their own result.

How can i disable the ability of student to edit their own profile? Perhaps any module to do it?

now am using drupal 5.11 for designing website....:

now am designing website for RealEstate company. their can create own account in my website. after login they need to edit their own profile. what are all the procedures did you follow to enable student profile and how student can edit their profile.... i need user can edit their own profile... so pl give those steps you were used in your school website.. for this what are all the modules you were installed... give full details ..... thanks for advance...
