I am just fiddling with the upgrade process and moving a vbDrupal to Drupal 6.3. Unfortunately the 6.3 upgrade stops with the following error shown on the page.

An error occurred. http://biohints.com/update.php?id=6&op=do <br /> <b>Fatal error</b>: Call to undefined function node_get_types() in <b>/path/modules/comment/comment.install</b> on line <b>50</b><br />

Clicking to the error page only brings up this single line:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function node_types_rebuild() in /var/www/vhosts/biohints.com/httpdocs/includes/common.inc on line 3527

I've deleted and re-uploaded files but am not sure how to proceed now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Deleted the comments module and ran update.php. The bar went to 100% and landed back to the error page. However, now the site is available except any of the modules. I go to the admin modules link and it is a blank page. Tracker is also blank but all of the other admin features appear available. I can even change themes.

The modules directory was deleted and reuploaded the files. Still no joy.

Dead in the water. Except this is a drupal install on Debian Etch. It doesn't get any more stable than that.

I even tried moving the old drupal installation and replacing it entirely with 6.4.
