I'm reporting this is as a bug rather than a feature request, because the way that the Full Thread is displayed right now in the "Inbox" is not very logical.

For example, when Full thread is selected, the view in sitename.com/privatemsg listing is still that of particular messages, rather than being a list of threads. In effect, if one has a long standing conversation with 1 particular user, then her inbox page becomes predominantly a list of messages with that same user. Maybe some drupal Privatemsg users would like to keep it this way, but I'm sure that many would agree that it would be nice to have an option to list threads (like in facebook and many other SNS sites) rather than separate messages.

Also, in full thread one can still change the Subject name of the reply to a different one, which means that, while still being listed in that same thread, the message now will have a different name. This second point is minor compared to the previous one.

I'm closing old issues since Privatemsg for Drupal 5 is not maintained anymore. I suggest you switch to Drupal 6 if possible, many of the reported issues are probably already resolved there and if not, you're welcome to open a new issue.
