Need module development and some theme assitance

dcrane@austinli... - August 3, 2008 - 21:20

We are looking for a couple things to kick off a new company's website in the pet travel industry using 6.x code.

Theme:
Need our current theme cleaned up, it is based on the 'ability' theme and hacked to get the look and feel. And/or start from scratch to see the menus the way we want them.

Module:
Need a module that creates several things. These will all tie in one day to a reservation system.
1 newsletter subscription tied to this page (can hook Newsletter Module for the list is fine)
1 free account that sets more user data then drupal currently uses
2 payed-for accounts setting same info as above. One uniques feature here is the ability to create user accounts that increment's by one for each account plus a first letter designation depending on the membership type. Will also need to set the members user level. The Ubercart is very much in line with what we are looking at but it isn't supported in 6.x yet and we don't need all the other store parts (Yet). That said if ubercart can be implemented all the better.
Once done this module could be open sourced.

Once above Module works we will need some help with the user accounts for displaying this information plus the ability to get some type of reporting from it.

Methods of payment. this depends on costs. The company is on a revenue sharing model for those that help it get off the ground or stock options. I also work with several companies doing work in Drupal that sometimes need assistance. The company is current based out of Austin Texas for development work.

Experienced Drupal developer and themer

Oliver Coleman - August 6, 2008 - 02:48

Hi David,

I work for a web design cooperative called e-geek that specialises in Drupal development and customisation. I could either work with e-geek or as individual for your project.

I've been the primary developer for the websites listed at http://e-geek.com.au/e-geek-portfolio , have developed the modules listed at http://e-geek.com.au/drupal (among others), have contributed many patches to other modules, and am experienced in theming standard Drupal modules as well as CCK, Views and many other modules.

I've set up several sites to use UberCart. A D6 release of UberCart is well on the way (the Roles module requiring final review), so UberCart in D6 may be possible before long.

I'm an experienced programmer and web developer with a degree in computer science. These days I primarily work with Drupal, PHP, MySQL, and Linux-based servers. In the past I've worked with Ruby on Rails, Java, C/C++, Python and PostgreSQL.

Thanks,
Oliver
