Hi,
I thought using the Returnpath module should allow my new user account emails to reach them but they still don't. Because the return-path has successfully changed I now receive the returned mails (rather than nobody@myhost.com) and get the following:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
myaccount@gmail.com
Mail sent by user nobody being discarded due to sender restrictions in WHM->Tweak Settings
What else can I do to make my user registration initial emails work?

decipheredI have not seen this error before but I did a Google search on 'WHW->Tweak Settings' and the top link was a reference to a cpanel help page (http://www.cpanel.net/docs/whm/Tweak_Settings.htm) which makes me think there may be some restriction set on your hosting account.

andreavr commentedThanks for your quick reply. I've ended up using the SMTP Module and it's working fine. Is there any reason I shouldn't be using this module instead?

decipheredAs I said when I became the co-maintainer, I don't know enough about the technical side of the issue/fix. All I know is that it works for me and desperately needed a maintainer.
While the SMTP module is another alternative for people who have mail problems, I have personally found that on a few hosting providers that the SMTP module doesn't work.
It really is a case by case issue, and if you find a working fix it's best to stick with it.
