Hi,
I am making a list of pros and cons for using youtube vs storing the stuff myself.
Pros:
Save bandwidth and storage costs
Get exposure on youtube
Get traffic from youtube from my channel page
Cons
Youtube brand on my videos
Cannot show overlay ads on videos
What else?
It seems this module would definitely be a good business decision.
Cheers,
G

ldway commentedIn my opinion using this module would be a smart move for all the reasons you listed. The pro's out weigh the Cons. However, many of us cannot get this module to work and are still waiting for someone to provide a fix for the problems. Please see this issue posted:

giorgio79 commentedThanks ldway, yes I am monitoring that stuff.
There is one last con I can think of
Con
If we upload stuff to YouTube wont we be losing search engine traffic for unique content, even if we get some traffic from YouTube?
I heard before content is king, and youtube won because of its search engine optimization.
What do you think?

ldway commentedWell I could be wrong but the only difference in the post will be the actual file. The tittle and description is still picked up by the search engines and that is the actual content anyways. I think search engines don't determine ranking from files, file sizes, etc. But just my thoughts. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable on this issue might correct me. :)

giorgio79 commentedYes, exactly. But the search engines would probably pick it up first at Youtube, and then maybe at your site, therefore you would never be the first in search engine results....

deadlyminds commentedProbably one could include the url of your site (of your video) in the description field. People could then visit your site when they watch it on youtube. Another side to this is that if your video is good and is properly optimized for the search engines, you may get new visitors from the youtube community and from the search engines thru' youtube, which may not have been possible directly from your site..
