Weblinks_filter: Easy links in your content
Last modified: August 4, 2008 - 14:16
One of the adopters of the Weblinks module asked for the capability to include in other content link generated from the Weblinks that added. We have now included that feature.
Weblinks_filter is an add-on to the Weblinks module and is distributed with the package. It does, however, need to be separately enabled and configured.
Settings
Since this feature operates as a content filter, it is configured in the "Input Format" section.
- Go to
admin >> site configuration >> input formats. - Locate the input format for which you wish to enable the filter (e.g. "Filtered HTML").
- Click on the configure link to the right.
- Under "Filters," check the "Weblinks filter" box and save the configuration. You will now see "You may insert a link to a defined site with [link: title]." in the list of filter tips.
- Now click on the "Configure" tab and locate the "Weblinks settings" section.
- Choose the settings you wish to use for the filter.
- Save the configuration.
Using the Filter in Content
- Determine where you wish to have a link inserted in your content.
- Enter
[link: title]
where title is the title of the Weblinks node that you created. For example:[link: My friend's site] - Choose the Input format to which you added the Weblinks filter.
- Save the content.
