I've got a request due for the embed code. The current embed is large and doesn't update when the flashvideo settings are updated.
My suggestion is that the embed code be made smaller and look more like YouTube (in terms of length) and be able to update the embedded video to look like the original when it's updated.
The reason for my request is that I host all of my videos on a central website and use the embed code to post on my other websites. The problem is when I update the settings, it isn't sent to all of my sites.
I hope I'm not asking too much, I probably am, and I admit I don't know how a lot of the code of flash works. I'm just asking if it can be done. Thanks for reading my request.

jonathanbloom commentedI did a little bit of searching and found information that could help.
JW FLV Player supports the flashvars looking at an external config file.
http://code.jeroenwijering.com/trac/wiki/FlashVars
You could make an option for people who use JW FLV Player to use the config file and there could be a config file for each node type you add in FlashVideo settings. I have multiple node types and some use global while others use their own specialized flashvars.
Hope I'm not asking too much.

brisath commentedI am also interested in this, but for version 6.x What I would like is a simpler video embed code that allows for less incompatibility with inserting the code in filtered html text input format. It would also be less confusing to my end user if the embed code was shorter. Please advise if I should open a different request, or if this is dealt with elsewhere.
