registration age limit in 6.x

I don't want anyone under 13 creating an account.
I have made "profile_dob" Date of Birth a requirement on the Registration Form, but there's no further controls to limit the possible age range.
Any help would be appreciated for 6.x

that thread never quite figured it out either. validateage is only in 5.x, checkboxes aren't good enough.
Do you know what file has the registration form on it?
Where could I edit the "date of birth" profile field I have created?
Use the legal module
Use the Legal module -- it let's you add a "I am over 13" checkbox and make it required.
