i migrated the live site database to a test server to do some work on it yesterday in the car while traveling.
worked great - imported the database files, etc.
then, i did a couple hours of work on this test site.
the problem: when i went to create a backup file to import on the live site - there is no option to actually do so.
all it shows is 'configure permissions'.... [missing the 'backup and migrate' option.]
i kinda need those changes i made... and by kinda - i mean really.
thanks !

ronan commentedThe wording of that sentence gave me a chuckle. Just for the record, I don't condone migrating while driving :)
I'm not sure what you mean by "all it shows is 'configure permissions'". Where are you seeing this text? When you go to admin/content/backup_migrate do you see anything?
If the module simply appears to be uninstalled in your local copy it's possible that your module locations are different between the two environment, and Drupal can't find the b-m module. Try visiting the modules page at admin/build/modules, as this will make Drupal reset it's module location info. If this works you'll have to do that again on your live site after you port your changes back.
If it doesn't work, let me know in more detail what you are seeing and where.
Also, always remember to keep a copy of phpMyAdmin around as a backup in case b-m fails for some reason. You can use b-m backup files with phpMyAdmin's import function (but no the other way round)

michael weile commentedI have the same problem using 6.x-1.0.
It works fine with the Minelli theme, but not whith Garland or Marinelli/Giordani.

ronan commentedIs anybody still having this issue? I feel like it may have been related to #299937: Error when using admin menu - compatibility problems. If nobody speaks up as still having this problem, I'm going to close this ticket.
Thanks

ronan commentedOk, no takers. I'll assume it's fixed unless somebody else tells me otherwise.

harveybetty commentedI just installed the module and when I went to invoke it, it is not displaying in the module listing. I tried switching themes based on previous messages but that didn't work.
