The name Image FUpload is associated only with image file types: Are you going to create another project for the CCKs FileField support of FUpload, implementing the feature into this module or will it be integrated into FileField directly?

It's right, this module only concentrates on image file types because in the next weeks, a new release will appear with many new features which are too specific for images so that I won't support files in this project in general:

  • CCK ImageField and Image module support (both)
  • #287699: Editing of image node fields before submitting Editing captions of all uploaded images at the same time (like mySpace it does)
  • Perhaps token integration
  • Perhaps EXIF support but I think it'll come with another release.

And now back to your topic:

I'm not sure whether I will create this project, I don't think so, but if another person creates one I will help out as a Co-Maintainer of this project =)

This project only handles images. Another project has to be created to be able to upload files to filefield.
