I would like to know what is best, I don't see why I should use this module if D5 already has a cache system for anonymous users.

Does this module provides better performance or what ?

You know, page cache is not working in Drupal 5.10 now.

The short answer is that this module can provide orders of magnitude better performance and scalability than Drupal's built-in, database-based caching.
