Issue Summary
The GCG Taxonomy module is perfect for our need to create a hierarchical taxonomy vocabulary classifying volunteer opportunities & organizations (see www.urbanministry.org/volunteer).
However, we have all our data in the Location table, and would have to export it to GCG. The mapping between the two seems fairly straightforward. Do you know of any reasons why it wouldn't be possible simply for me to change the code in my copy of the GCG Taxonomy module to extract the needed information from the Location table, rather than the GCG table.
It looks like some variable names would have to be changed, and the initial query would have to be changed to pull nid's from the Location table. But other than that, it looks like the code wouldn't need modification, since all the information it needs to classify the nodes is already in the Location table.

Why not use the location tables with the GCG code?
