It has occurred twice, when a regular User was posting a regular item, that the author name did not match the person who posted the item. Twice that I know of, there may be more. The occurrences were several days apart.

  1. Dennis posted an event and it showed Alice as the author. The event node is a CCK custom content_type.
  2. Bill signed up for an event using the Signup.module. It displayed Alice's name in the Sign Up list, with Bill's email and phone.

Dennis and Bill are regular Users and were not using the Masquerade function.

Alice is my default "Masquerade as user" name. How would the masquerade name "Alice" get picked up, if they are not accessing Masquerade?

It may not be Masquerade after all. I went tothe Home Page today without being logged in and it showed another User's name in one of the Subscription forms.
