No links visible in taxonews block

I've implemented the taxonews module in a localhost testwebsite but it doesn't fuction.
When I post an article in the selected taxonomy term the node title is not displayed in the block.

The only thing that's visible is:
1. The static text I entered when I configured the block (text to show when no items are available)
2. The link to the archive which leads me to an overview of the nodes published with the selected taxonomy term
3. the link to the rss feed (that shows me the rss of the published nodes).

In the configuration i'v chosen for a 30 days duration of display with a max. of 15 nodes.

Both php and mysql are 5+ so this can't be the problem.

In attach you'l find the code of the taxonews module i've enabled.

Anybody has an idea what could be wrong.
