Has anyone tried to add private uploading to Imagefield? Any chance to modifying "private" module to add this feature?

I am very interested in this feature, and have reopened it.

BTW usually when an issue is closed a reason for closing should be given, and an answer offered; often feature requests may stay open and valid for years, with people hoping for a solution, so please accept this renewed expression of interest as serious lasting (it is important, because I am working with defence images that should not permit direct access by URL).
