I love Drupal's unmatched flexibility, but when it comes to ease of use for the average "code shy" user and administrator we could all take lessons from eZ's interface.
Could we implement a timeline like the one at the top of their eZFlow product (http://ez.no/ezflow : shown 20 seconds into their product demonstration video) in our Workflow module so that administrators can quickly scroll through their site and see it as it will look both in the present, the future, and the past? You should be able to choose when the content you post will display at a specified future date (or under specified conditions if we're getting really fancy). Having a fine-grained approach to this where you could drill down to even a single article, photo, etc. and determine when it will appear on the site would set Drupal on a more equal footing in this category with its competitors.
I truly believe that this feature alone will make a world of difference in terms of Drupal's adoption in the professional media content community. Given how many modules have already been developed for Drupal, has this already been done and I just haven't found it yet or is this something we can get working on right away?
(Would also be great if integrated with the existing "Timeline" and "Time Map" modules so people could also see the content changes they have scheduled represented visually in Gantt form)

jvandyk commentedWorkflow 6.x-1.0-RC1 offers two views. One of them is the "pending" view of scheduled workflow state changes, which presents a table of nodes, their current state, the state they are scheduled to change to, and the scheduled date/time of change. Although neither timeline nor timemap modules have 6.x releases, there is certainly room for better visualization.

Bastlynn commentedHi,
This request hasn't seen any follow up in over 3 years. If you still want to see something like this please open a new request for Drupal 7 with some well defined specs for implementation and I'll take a look.
