Thanks, I really needed this.
This seems to work. I will be doing more testing shortly and I will provide feed back if I have any problems.

Considering that the point’s category feature is part of the main user points package and the workflow integration comes with user points I think this is a critical feature.

Note that this will be short lived, because Workflow-NG will be replaced by rules for Drupal 6.x

@mitchell: I don't think that's what this request is referring to. I've modified the current production code (6.x-1.0) with the the ability to select a points category to add the points to. I don't want to put a dev plugin on my production site, so maybe this code can be rolled into the latest dev version?

This does not seem to be in the newest dev release. I am very interested in this and was wondering if you would be able to change your code into a patch when you have time? Thanks for the great work!
