How to customize field display in a panel?

Hi,
I've just installed this lovely module and am trying to figure out how to customize the output in a panel. (I was pretty excited to click the "add" button in my panel and have a Favorite Nodes appear in the list automatically!) Right now it just displays the node title, and I'd like to have it also display a particular image field from each node. Is there a place where I can specify which fields it outputs?
(Or do I have to create a view to do that? I am pretty new to Views and was not able to figure out how display Favorite Nodes based on the Profile Page URL -- as in "the page is /user/2, so display all the Favorites for user #2".)
