I am also looking for this solution. And if yes, could we subscribe and address individual forums/topics?

In fact I am looking for a forum solution that can be used by thoe using only email client and not web browsers. On the other hand I need something more sophisticated (structured) than a simple mail list.

I went through all the old topics and found that many had been looked for this "Yahoo Groups" like feature, but it seems there is no solution for it.
