I'm currently using imageCache for imageCache_profiles. But ImageCache doen't seem to be generating the resized picture. I'm currently using D5.9 with ImageApi 1.2. I have ImageCache 2.1 installed and I have never had ImageCache 1.x installed. I am using a private filesystem outside of my site directory. I have heard that having a filesystem outside of the site root is a problem, but most of the mentions of that are talking about IC-1.x. Does this still apply for IC-2.1? Also is rewrite still a dependency for IC-2.x? I didn't look like it was. Am I incorrect in this?

My exact symptom is that IC_profiles is making the proper link for the user's avatar, but there is no image there. It is using the proper URL for the private filesystem. I'm not getting any error that I can see. Also IC was able to make the imagecache folder in my private folder so it is not a permissions issue. Any ideas?

Forgot to give permissions to the role generated by the the IC when the IC profile was created
