Ignore "Expand" settings used on parent menu

I am using a suckerfish menu that requires that the menus with children be expanded in order for it to work.

I don't want my local menu to automatically expand all of the menus, i want it to act like a normal menu would - just expanding where it needs to.

Do you have any idea how i can get this to work?

I see you have some control over the expanding with your render depth. Thanks!
