It would be great if you could add a function that allows an admin to add all members of one (or more) drupal roles to a mailout list. Similar to the feature in simplenews, there you can automatically subscribe members of a role to a list. But it should be more flexible:

1. Manually assign/remove users by role to a mailing list: Admin (or other user with appropriate rights) can select a role and one or more mailing lists. All membes of the role a assigned to these list(s).

2. Automatically assign/remove users by role to a mailing list, that means: if a user gets assigned to a specific, he is also be added to one (or more) corresponding mailing lists (if any). If he is removed from a role he will also be removed from the mailing list(s).

3. If user accounts are being blocked or canceled all subscribtions should be deactivated.

It would be nice if these functions could be configurable by the admin. For example: the removal of a user from a role removes him from mailing list, but a switch in his user account (or may be better in his subscription prevents the removal)

Thanks for the clean requirements. This feature will come after the first stable release, hence I'll mark it postponed.

I'll second this request - the first thing I looked for for this module was the ability to send emails to my existing userbase, or at least build the initial group from registered users but was unable to find a simple way to do so. +1

Edit: Just clicked my way through and found you could select roles as part of mailout.. This module has been very well thought through.. congratulations on a very well built module.
