I looked around to see if this was already addresses, but had no luck so I'm posting this as an issue ... I've noticed that when a vote up or down is cast in my installation, the vote counter window is not incremented to reflect the vote ...

I've taken a look at the demo and created an account to observe the behavior of the widget ... on the demo site, the numerical window to the left of the widget increments up or down in response to a click on either arrow, which is the expected. In my install though, the counter window remains at '0'. The vote is counted correctly and will show correctly in the counter window upon a manual page request ... it just won't increment upon the actual vote. My concern is that the average user will not understand that their vote has indeed been counted.

In the settings for the voting api, I do have the votes to be counted when cast ... is there something I'm missing? Any advice or information will is appreciated. BTW, I am using the most current versions of the extra voting forms and comment bury / promote ...

Hi,

Please:

1) Update to the required version of jquery.js as explained in the installation guide

2) Make ABSOLUTE sure your browser has an updated version of the file

3) Try again and report back

Bye,

Hello and thank you for the quick response!

It turns out that the version of the jquery update I was running, 5.x-1.0, while shown in status update as "current", turned out to be the problem. I updated to the 5.x-2.0 version, and now my counter is incrementing as expected ...

Thanks!
Frank
