Could you add somewhere some explanations or some useful links about machine learning ?

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm going to start working on memetracker documentation soon -- I'll add a section on the machine learning portions. The wikipedia article on machine learning is a good start -- but probably won't be too helpful though for understanding Memetracker actually. . .
