user location - form / map markers don't show up

I installed location module & gmap module.

I created a new content type. After submitting location information via my content type, the markers for 'Node locations' are displayed.

Under Admin > User Management > User settings > User Locations (section) > Location fields (section)
I enabled multiple fields 'Street location' , 'City', 'State/Province' etc. However, when I try to create a new user, there's no place to input/submit the information that I enabled (Street/City/State/Province). I assume that's why markers are not displayed on the google map (User locations map).

I also created additional fields under 'Profile' but it didn't fix my problem.

So, I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. How do I submit user location information so that the markers show up on the google map under 'User locations'?
