Description

First let me say your module is brilliant. You are a drupal GENIUS!

How do you display all node locations on a world map?

Here is an example:

Ohh, subscribing to this one.

Have just trashed the gmap/Location combo, when i discovered this module. I really like the auto "address to map" function.
But now im also trying to figure out how to show all nodes on one map, just like in
Location.
This is essential for me, so i hope im just a newbie that is confused, and a solution is posted :)

Thanks for a great module.

Hmm obviously a tricky question ??

B.P.B have you found an answer on your own, or are you also still stuck ?

Damn, have to swithc back to gmap again, to bad, liked this one.

I have not unfortunately. The module creator seems very busy so we can only hope he'll get around to adding the option soon.

gmap / location is inferior to this module simply because you cannot geocode addresses. The user must manually search for his location and put X on the spot.

I think GCG is worth the wait.

I think you are right, this module is much better, but also lacks important things.... dang...
Lol, must try to be more patient, and hope something comes out in near future.

Appreciate the hard work though and looking forward to new releases.

gmap / location is inferior to this module simply because you cannot geocode addresses.

darn, I got thrown off by the explanation on the location part of the node edit form:

If you wish to supply your own latitude/longitude, you may do so here. Leaving these fields blank means that the system will determine a latitude/longitude for you, if possible.

I thought it would just magically find the lat/long for me.... and gcg does just that. chapeau!

I would looooooove to be able to put gcg-enhanced nodes on a gmap-view.

The only problem is, if you type in Tokyo, Beijing, or Moscow, it gives you back an address in very funny looking letters.

I think thats a bug on Google's side though.

i got it to work.
Create a new view of type Gmap View
Add two fields:
GCG GMap: Latitude
GCG GMap: Longitude
For these two, make labels "Latitude" and "Longitude".

If you look at this view now, it might appear as if it does not contain any nodes because it is always centered at what "Default map settings" of Gmap module configuration specify. My addresses were in USA, but the map shown on the view always looked empty as it was centered around Greece or something. I changed the settings withing Gmap to have "autozoom" enabled, so the map would automatically fit in all my markers and actually show them rather than an empty (but default) piece of map.
