Can this be used to Organize a People Directory

Hello,

I would like to use this module to organize a People directory. After reading about it, I am still not sure.
Would it be possible to use this to create a page like this one:

http://www.terry.uga.edu/directory/

Where you could click on a letter, and everybody from that letter shows up, etc?
If not, what module would you recommend?
