Hi!
This module looks promising! I installed it on a test site and I like it. One thing that would be good to address though, if it's not already done, is graceful degrading when javascript is turned off. As it is now, just the first node in the view is shows.

Do you have more effects in mind? Some sort of miniature list of items for quick navigation would be cool. :) Just dreaming ...

First, there is graceful degradation. If javascript is off the first item on the list displays.

Second, what other types of things are you thinking of?

Graceful degradation works out of the box already. If you have feature requests can you please submit them as individual issues so I can address each one individually.

Concerning graceful degradation: perhaps it could be an option whether to show just the fist node in the view, or all nodes? A view is a collection of nodes based on some criteria; if javascript is turned off I personally would like to see all the view nodes - like they should have been shown it Views Rotator wasn't enabled at all. :) That was my thought.
