The keyboard shortcut menu is not greyed out so I assume its a functioning part of Lightbox2 LITE. No matter how hard I press the ESC key, when in LITE mode, it does not escape.

Shortcut keys only work for me in full mode, but I don't need all those features. I just need LITE and the esc key option.

Try the attached patch, or the latest dev release (available within the hour). The ESC key should now close the lightbox lite window, along with c and x. The configuration option for shortcut keys don't apply to lightbox lite. I'll update the help text for that option, thanks.
