Control of exposure of journal form?

After only a few hours of using this module, I find it to be an absolutely essential and terrific one. However there is one problem, which is that the journal text area appears in all kinds of places, e.g making the Views interface almost unusable. It would be fantastic if there were some way of controlling where the text area appears and does not appear, but I suppose that is very difficult?
