I love the Share module, but now it's become almost unusable for me because of the removal of a block option in the newest version. Putting Share in $links is a nice idea, but as noted in another issue, if your links are at the bottom of the page, it causes the popup to go off the page. More importantly, it's not very likely to be noticed. Allowing it to be a block gives you much more control over its position on the page and (at least in the most recent version that had it present) showing the list of service-links as the default display attracts visual attention.
Please, please, bring it back!

greenskin commentedI have every intent on bringing it back, I just haven't found the time. I've been working on getting the revamped code base for the regular share links that are displayable in the node body or node links first. I have a couple more things I wish to get functioning before I make a block like the share link going to a Share page if javascript is disabled. Once this is done, providing the ability to create a Share block will be simple. I plan on also making the Share block available on every page, thus it will not be just limited to nodes.

rootworkOK, great, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be dropped from the feature list :)

nrasmus commentedSubscribing.
In the mean time, is it possible to print the share popup via PHP (in a custom block)? Any pointers here would be most appreciated.
