I'm looking for any advice or recommendations on moving my users on "Notify" over to this module, hopefully from someone who has done this recently.
Technical: Anything specific that I need to do so that users who have "notify" checked now, continue to get notifications? Any "upgrade" advice?
Administrative: I plan on letting the current users know about this (particularly those with "notify" turned on), about the change via e-mail and a post.
Thanks,

rkdesantos commentedStill looking for someone who has made the switch to this module from "Notify" on what they did and how they handled it. Thanks.

drein commentedI think it is quite difficult to make these changes automatically.
I'm using the notify module, but for these users that simply don't have time/will to take 2 minutes for manage their subscriptions.
Notify module send a sort of digest of all content of a site, instead subscriptions allow the users to select only what they want.
I have the same problem, because I'd like to have only 1 module for this, but I think there are no solutions. You could open the profile one user a time and select for each user the right taxonomy and type of contents, in other words, the same things they received with notify, but it is really very logn and tedious.
Another idea is to ask authors if it is possible to have a new feature, that is, default taxonomy or default type of contents active for existing and new users. This should be made obviously by administrator.

rkdesantos commentedThanks for taking the time to reply, drein.
Given that I have a modest number of users to deal with, (as tedious as it would be) it might make sense to make the changes manually for them and then let them modify them further if they wish.
Hopefully others also have some ideas. Thanks again.
