Cannot get it to work

Description
I get the 'Video currently not available' message and you troubleshooting tips do not get me anwyhere. What I do not understand is: I upload somefile.avi then run cron and then the file reappears in my files directory as somefile.avi.AVI
. And another file which i ftp-ed to the video_import dir had its name changed from video.mp4.avi to video.mp4_.avi (so an underscore was added).
I have FFMPEG installed and the path seems good (though I wouldnt know how to check that).
The player (Player.swf) is in my files directory (which by the way is NOT called files but 'klimafiles')
Any suggestions please?

Did you change any configurations with the "FLV mime types"? This is strange that it keeps trying to change your file name to an "AVI" file. What is the link to your site so that I can check this out personally?

Thanks. No I did not change any mime related stuff. The url is www.klimatosoof.nl

If you upload FLV files do they work?
I have aproblem where FLV files work only and other file types don't. It may be a mime-type related issue.
