Hello all,

I want to introduce myself that I'm just dicided to join Drupal bandwagon. It such a long journey to decided whether to use Drupal,Wordpress,Joomla etc.... as you know it is quite confusing to a normal newbie. I run back and forth and don't know what to choose for a while. :)

The reason behind my decision is I'm looking for a long run CMS with very scalable ability along the road while I grow my project. I'm building a virtual community.

I've stumbled upon knol.google.com . It is kind of the community I wish to have (talk about function, not the size!). Maybe it is an evolution of educational blog, aim for real knowledge and valuable infos.

So I sum up to short questions about Drupal that:
1.) Could Drupal do multi-blogging with the ability of user's group blogging?

Something like Knol works, User can set up their group in Knol website. So the structure look like My website>Group blog>User's blogs. My website's homepage being aggregator of Group blog, and Group blog webpage being aggregator of users blog.
Or even better. User can join many groups, so a user tend to be in many groups. It seem like tagging in concept.

2.) Do there's any module which connect drupal to mutiple user's wordpress blogs?

1. Yes.

2. Drupal ships with it's own blog system. Each user can have their own blog on your website and you can establish relationships and grouping between the blogs via Taxonomies (categories).

Please download Drupal and have a play around. I am sure you will be surprised what it has to offer out of the box. There are also video tutorials and plenty of guides for you in case you get stuck: http://drupal.org/handbooks and http://drupal.org/support

You just say what I want to hear most. YES.
It seem like end of CMS hunting any more. I'll established with Drupal now.

Actually, I've installed drupal 6 successfully on a website. Then where should I go for tutorials?

I'm going to read all official resources first,play around and get some set up. Then, I plan get some books and more video tutorials later on. When I know quite a bit in and out of Drupal, I may get some services for the real website.

Do you think I've a right track to study Drupal? Any suggestion?

Also check out http://groups.drupal.org/, and join some groups that interest you... that will give you a great feel for the group feature sets that you are looking for.
