Sorry for the generic title. I attempted to set up a front page for non-authenticated users, by pasting some text into the 'Front Page for anonymous user' text box, saved, then logged out to see the effect. I still see the same view (listing of teasers for all recently added nodes) as authenticated users. When I change 'default front page' to 'front_page', all users (authenticated and non-authenticated users alike) see the new front page.

How can I make my custom front-page be shown only for anonymous users ?

go to your front page settings and make sure authenticated user isn't selected as "Same as authenticated User". Alternatively, it maybe a cache issue...the cache exclude module should help with that.
