Easily browse through taxonomy. Display vocabularies like trees, a directory index or sort their terms alphabetically.

That's what Vocabulary Index does and it's quite easy to set up. If you find yourself in a place you just don't know where to look anymore or if you are looking for tips about this module's usage, read on.

  • API documentation
  • README.txt
  • Enable the Help module of your Drupal installation and go to Administer > Help > Vocabulary Index for information on how to configure Vocabulary Index.

Installation instructions
1) Place the contents of the *.tar.gz file you just have extracted into the
modules directory of your Drupal site
2) Go to Administer > Site building > Modules at your Drupal site and enable
Vocabulary Index. You will get a confirmation message that contains further
instructions on how to set up Vocabulary Index.

The following are what 'confirmation messages' you will see post enabling the module:
* Vocabulary Index has been enabled. Please proceed to the settings page and set up the permissions to get started.
* The configuration options have been saved.

Please proceed to update.php to update your database to Vocabulary Index 2.

Disregarding the first two with *, clicking on the update.php link, the database will never get updated, 'automatically', you must manually select option 6200 from the Vocabulary Index module update options drop down, otherwise it will just keep posting the "Please proceed to update.php to update your database to Vocabulary Index 2." message over and over until you do. I mention this as some, not all modules will auto select the latest version as part of the update.php process.
