I just discovered that if I have the module activated I can't get to Site Management via Administer -> Site configuration -> Site maintenance. No matter how, I only get to the "Site Configuration" overview page.

When deactivating Vertical Tabs it works normally, which I have verified by a number of activations and deactivations.

How about going to Administer -> Site configuration -> Main configuration and selecting Site maintenence?

That works as a work-around, but then I get:

warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in .../includes/common.inc on line 777.

when opening Main configuration. And that warning comes twice when going off-line and again when going online.

Hmm, it worked for me. Actualy, it's not a work-around, but a feature.

After activating Vertical Tabs (great idea) I found many newly installed modules seem to disappear from the Admin Menu.
