Hi All

I've two WAMP sites 1) at home 2) at work. Recently I upgraded (1) from 5.1 to 5.10, and added the "update status" module which works great.

On (2) which is 5.9 I thought I'd add this great module, but the whole site slowwed to a crawl. I found lots of red in the log mentioning this new module - so de-activated it.

Now (2) is fine again !!

question: how come (1) on 5.10 works fine with the 'updates' module, but (2) on 5.9 doesnt?

ahah ahahahah, A little light just when on - and I can answer my own question :-)

Internet access from my Work-site uses a proxy-server (doah!)
