I have a case where I would like the emails to go to an email address in a cck field rather than to the author of the node.

I have something similar where I want the person to look a person's profile and then sign up for a to be mentored by that person. The person's profile is done as a node and one of the fields is the email where I want the request sent to. If possible, I'd also like the ability to send the same sign up email to the static email address of the program's coordinator.

How did you get emails to be sent to the author??
