Is there a 6.x version to this module working with location 6.x-3.x-dev and views rc2 ?

There is Views module support built directly into the Location module now, and as far as I can tell, the Location Views project isn't going to be needed any more for Drupal 6. I'll leave this to bdragon though, as I don't know for sure.

So, what happens to the proximity filter for Views which was apparently part of location_views but which doesn't seem to be part of the location module in D6?

Proximity will be part of location module for D6, it's just not there yet :)

Closing this ticket though, as the views support is definitely moved over to location module itself.
