Any luck of making a module for the Add This RSS button in the future? Keep up the great work and thank you so much!

This will be added at some point to 6.x development branch. Unfortunately I do not have a lot of time on my hands for this module, so any help or patches are certainly welcome. Please do all development on 6.x version. Changes will be backported to 5.x from 6.x.

I wish I could but I am not a coder.

This should be one of top priority features for next version of AddThis Button.

I have done some work on this. The current version I have is functional minus a little glitch which I couldn't figure out. The popup contains no services for some reason or another. Anyhow, here is what I got.
Attached is the patch and a zip containing the two new files I added in the addthis directory.
Run the patch and extract the zip in the addthis directory. This was patched against todays dev version from the cvs.

let me clarify, the services are in the html, but they are set inside a container that is set to display:none; for some reason. Probably conflicting js from the regular share button.

I will postpone this feature to version 3.0 of the module. We are now trying to make a major update and adding new features to 2.x versions would require double effort. Version 3.0 will be out before D7.

wesku please let me know if I can assist in getting this ported to 3.0. I can redo the patch against that branch once the time comes.

Thank you Nicholas. There is now a 3.0 branch, but there is no actual new code in it. More information on: #735688: AddThis 3.0 dev candidate

wesku, would you like me to remake the patch? I can do it now if it is the right time.

Yes please, but the HEAD has been moving on quite a bit. Addthis is now a field. This still requires support for RSS, but the way to implement it might be pretty different.

AddThis doesn't appear to support their RSS button anymore. Keeping this marked as postponed until someone finds an official response.
